Facial Aging And Making What Comes Down Go Back UP
As we age we notice many changes taking place in our bodies. For one thing we are not able to move as freely and we feel a loss of vitality. Our hair loses its shine, body and color. Our skin loses elasticity and smoothness. All of these things together are what make us look and feel older and no place is it more obvious than on our faces.
Facial aging is something that happens to everyone. Those for whom it seems to happen more slowly we say “age gracefully”. Still, we will all experience the drooping skin and wrinkles that come with old age.
There are some things we can be doing now to prevent facial aging in the future. Choosing a healthy lifestyle is by far the best way to keep your good looks as you age. Eating healthy foods helps your skin to be healthy. Exercise keeps blood flowing well throughout your body, including your face, which keeps everything in better condition.
There are also some guaranteed ways to speed up facial aging. The first of these is smoking. The longer and harder you smoke the worse your skin will look. You know how sometimes you see someone and just by looking at their face you can tell they smoke? It’s not only the yellow teeth, it’s also in the thin, wrinkled skin.
Another great contributor to facial aging is the sun. It is now commonly known that getting too much sun is not good for your skin and increases the chances you will get skin cancer and other skin problems, but another important reason to cover up and avoid facial tanning is because of how it will make your skin look in the future. Sure you might look nice with your bronze skin now, but all those hours spent sitting out in the sun will do you no favors in the future.
Facial Aging Proactive Steps
There are many different things you can do to counteract facial aging. Of course there are all sorts of creams and tonics you can buy that are meant to help slow down the aging process. There are also fairly simple procedures you can go through. Botox treatments are becoming increasingly popular, for example.
Other treatments can help smooth your skin and restore a better color such as microdermabrasion, photorejuvination and others. These are usually quick procedures that you can have done in the doctor’s office or even in a health spa.
Of course if you want a stronger effect you might opt for a face lift. First it is a good idea to try various other treatments that will cost you less money and give a more natural effect. However, you may still decide that a facelift is what you want in the end.
There are a lot of things that causes facial aging, but fortunately there are many ways we can slow down that process and reverse it.
